ABOUT

Rooted in heritage. Open to possibility.

An inclusive community connecting Tamil heritage with life in Sweden.

Our Origins & Growth

Welcome to STK IF – A Community for Everyone

Founded over a decade ago as Racketsports Club and journeying alongside SSK Club, our roots were built on energy, motion, and a shared passion for sports like cricket and badminton.

As our community grew, so did our vision. Today, we are proud to evolve into STK IF, broadening our horizon to embrace cultural activities, celebrations, and creative events. As more families, young couples, youth, and seniors have joined our journey, we’ve transformed into a true home away from home.

Our Motto

To bring every generation together.

Whether you are a parent, a child, a young couple, or an active senior, STK IF is designed with you in mind. We believe that a strong community is built when everyone has a place to connect, participate, and belong.

Culture & Connection

தமிழால் இணைவோம்.
ஒன்றாக வளர்வோம்.

Connected through Tamil. Growing together.

We bring people together through Culture, Sports, Youth, Family, and Community. Every generation and background is welcome; you do not need to speak Tamil to take part.

Our Identity

Ancient Roots, Modern Integration

Living Heritage & Values

Our roots are in Tamil culture, one of the world's oldest living traditions. We carry its values with us: respect for elders, hospitality, togetherness, and wisdom passed down through timeless works like the Thirukkural. These values shape how we run our club and how we treat one another.

🇸🇪

Part of Swedish Society

We see ourselves as an active part of Swedish society. We share Tamil culture with our neighbours, learn from Swedish communities and associations, and build meaningful friendships across backgrounds. For us, keeping our heritage alive and being an active part of Sweden go hand in hand.

"Like the Nilgiri tahr on our logo, we stand steady on our roots while climbing toward new horizons."
